Two attached cottages. C18, altered C19. Chalkstone rubble
rendered on north face and Cl9 brick refacing to south front,
thatched roof. Two storeys, each cottage of 2 bays, No 44 being
shorter and lower, perhaps originally an outbuilding to No 42.
Entrances in lean-tos in each gable end, and central porch to each
on south front. Timber casement windows. Roof hipped, with a
four-flue stack on party wall and single stack on west gable.
