House, formerly an inn, Late C18/early C19. Regular coursed sandstone with splay
cornice. Old plain-tile roof; brick end stacks. L-plan, with lower wing on left
to rear, fronting flew Street. 2 storeys; 2-window range. 6-panelled door has
gabled plain-tile hood on simple brackets. Sashes, horned to ground floor. Right
return side has large first-floor lancet window of 2 chamfered orders, with
glazing bars, rising into the gable. Wing of one storey and attic. Plank door
with chamfered segmental-pointed arc. Small ogee-arched light, possibly re-used
medieval work, Lancet on right of 2 chamfered orders has cross glazing. Interior
not inspected.
