Identified on map SO NE as Sheffield Fruit Farm. Small detached cottage.
Cl7 or earlier. Rubble, some rendered, timber framework in box form, some
with brick infill, plain tile roof. T-shaped plan with large stack left on
gabled central arm facing road; entrance in return angle opposite stack.
Wing to road 1½ storeys, one-windowed, old plank door in newly formed frame
of old timbers, new dormer over. Front to east two storeys plus large dormer
2-windowed, various sashes. Interior: large fire opening with heavy bres-
summer, some timber framing, heavy oak roof. One date 1631 inscribed.
Property has been much modified in recent times, and at time of survey. May
be part of former Bledisloe Manor.
