Upper Merton House and
The Mertons
GV II
Pair of dwellings in terrace. Early C19. Heavy sandstone plinth, squared
and coursed sandstone walling, Welsh slate roof, hipped, at flat pitch. Two
storeys, four-windowed, all sashes with thin glazing bars and large panes and
one-piece stepped voussoir lintels. Doors centrally in stucco moulded archi-
traves, six-panel moulded under three-pane transome lights; left door has four
glass panes replacing door panels.
