14m north-north-east of north-east
corner of tower, Church of St.
Peter and St. Paul

GV II

Chest tomb: Joseph Cadle, died 1745; stone. Flat lid, simply
moulded edge. Quarter-square gadrooned bulbous corner balusters.
South side centre flanked by tall rectangles: in centre head with
wings at top, drapery from head to top corners, whence falls as a
curtain down sides. End rectangles a pendant ring at top, whence
hang various flowers. Ends rectangular panels framed
rococo carving. North side as south in basic form, but rococo
carving throughout. A very fine and well preserved monument.
One of a group of Cadle monuments, 4 others listed (q.v.).
