Arms of King George I. The artist has mixed up the 'new' Hanover arms and several details are wrong. (1) The first (English) lions should be gold. There is a mixup with the silver horse of Westphalia. (2) The border round the red (Scots) lion should be gold. (3) 3 French lilies OK, Irish harp should have silver strings (4) There should be only 2 gold lions of Brunswick - the white horse of Westphalia should replace the bottom lion. (5) The blue lion of Luneberg should have red hearts dotted round it. Definitely painted in a byegone age - How aggressive the supporters are!. (Photo Aug 2011).
