Here lieth the bodies of Sir Edward Montagu Knight and Elizabeth his wife eldest daughter of Sir James Harrington of Exton, in the county of Rutland, Knight by whom he had issue 8 sonnes: Henry who died in his infancy, Edward who married Elizabeth the daughter and heir of Sir John Jeffery of Chittingleigh, in the county of Sussex Knight Lord Chief Baron of the Exchequer, Walter who married Anne Daughter and heir of Henry Morgan of Pennecoide in the countie of Monmouth Esquier, Henry who married
one of the daughters of Sir William Spencer of Yarnton in the countie of Exford Knight, Charles who married Lettice one of the Daughters of Henry Clifford Esquier: James, Sidney, and Thomas who died in his infancy.
