The Monument - commemorating the Great Fire of London in 1666. Seen here from the River Thames, surrounded by office blocks and framed by the Steeple and Church of St Magnus the Martyr. Designed by Christopher Wren and completed in 1677, at 202ft it is said to be the tallest isolated stone column in the World.
