The Monument - commemorating the Great Fire of London in 1666. Designed by Christopher Wren in the form of a Roman Doric Column, and built of Portland stone. Decorative mouldings of flowers and other designs are delightfully to be seen nearly 200 ft up on the underside of the viewing balcony.
