CHAPMANSLADE HUNTENHULL LANE (east side) 12/61 The Old Rectory The address and the description shall be amended to read-- ST 8246 CHAPMANSLADE CORSLEY 12/61 ST. MARGARET'S HOUSE II Rectory, now a private house. Early C18 and 1840's. Limestone rubble walling with a few dressings and plain tile roof to the older part, coursed squared limestone rubble with Bathstone dressings and Welsh slate roof to later part. Development - A very early C18 plan house survives almost complete behind a rectangular 1840's block which completely obscures the older part from the road. The front block is two rooms in width with central axial stack and has a corridor running across the back in front of the front wall of the old house. This runs from entrance to stair. The rear block has parallel wings running back from the obscured front. Elevation - South front; two storeys, 4 windows. 12-pane sashes in stone frames with drip moulds to ground floor only. Deep overhanging eaves, hipped roof with central brick stack. East entrance front has 6-panelled door in gabled porch with 12-pane sash over. To right of this in the older part of the house is one 12-pane sash-with hood mould, in 1840'a alteration. West front has a tall stair sash window of 15 panes, 6 over 9, also with hood mould. To the right of this is what appears to be a truncated chimney breast. One bay later projection from older part containing door with flat hood and small casement above. Rear wing of two bays with original flat-faced mullion window. North front has various two and 3-light-casements with small panes; at least one appears original. There are also several blocked windows. Small modern flat-roofed extension not of special interest. The paired wings are hipped at the north end and have large brick ridge stacks. The tiles appear to be replacements. The south facing dormers survive looking into the central valley between the two sections. Interior - Not available for inspection, but one stone mullioned window of the original south front is revealed in the hall way.

CHAPMANSLADE HUNTENHULL LANE ST 8247 (east side) 12/61 The Old Rectory II Rectory, now detached house. Early C19. Coursed rubble stone, hipped Welsh slate roof, axial brick stack. Two-storey, 4-window south front with four 12-pane sashes with hoodmoulds to ground floor and sashes without to first floor. Entrance to right return; 4-panelled door in gabled porch, 12-pane sash over. Deep eaves on brackets. Rear 2-storey wing has sashes with hoodmoulds and casements, tiled hipped roof. Left return has sashes and tall stair window. Interior not accessible at time of survey (May 1986).
