A row of 4 cottages. Formerly almshouses, c1878; the south wing
of a group of 3 detached ranges forming an open court. In the
Queen Anne Revival style; 1 storey. Red brick with moulded brick
eaves cornice. At the east end a pediment with very ornate
carving in red brick, a coat of arms with motto within a
classical frame. A gablet to Vicarage Road has painted half-
timbering with a panel having floral plasterwork motif.
Plaintiled roofs with axial chimneys of red brick. Splayed flat-
roofed bay windows, alternating with small-pane casements. 5-
panelled entrance doors with flat canopies on brackets.
