Two houses. Late C18, altered C19 and C20. Sandstone ashlar
with slate roof. The houses form a mirrored pair of 3 storeys
above cellars and 3 bays each, with doorways in the outer bays
and with the 2 central bays breaking forwards slightly under a
moulded pediment. The windows have plain reveals and
projecting sills, and are either sashed or have C20 casements
imitating sashes. The doorways each have panelled double doors
below an elliptical fanlight with Gothick glazing which rises
into the open pediment of the stone doorcase, which has
engaged Tuscan columns. Each doorway is approached by a flight
of steps and a landing parallel to the front wall. The steps
have nosings and the standards of the iron railings have urn
finials. Chimneys on gables, which have copings and kneelers.
