GV II

Suburban villa. Early C19. Textured finish on incised stucco;
rag slate hipped roof with projecting eaves; 2 rendered
stacks. Square double-depth plan with reception rooms on the
right. 2 storeys plus attics over basement; symmetrical
3-window front. Original hornless sashes with glazing bars;
square 1st floor sashes over tall sashes and central
round-arched doorway with concentric spoked fanlight over
panelled door and sidelights. Tall round-headed stair sash
with fanlight head to left-hand return, also original sashes
at rear. INTERIOR: virtually complete with good quality
original features including: inner fanlight (like outer one);
moulded plaster ceiling cornices; marble chimney-pieces with
roundels; panelled doors and large open-well open-string
staircase.
