SW6627 MENEAGE STREET 631-1/5/187 (South West side) Nos.125 AND 127

GV II

Two similar houses at end of row. Early C19. Roughly-coursed granite rubble with granite dressings including lintels; No.125 (right) with grouted scantle slate roof, replaced with asbestos slate to No.127; brick end stacks. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys; overall 6-window range of 2 symmetrical 3-window fronts. No.127 has original 16-pane hornless sashes; No.125 has 2-pane hornless sashes, possibly original sashes with glazing bars removed. Each house has central doorway with its lintel higher than those of flanking window openings; C20 doors and overlights. INTERIORS not inspected.
