Entrance arch (to graveyard). Late C19. Ashlar sandstone.
Steps to central arch with ornamental iron gates and "Dutch
gable" with pediment, flanked by matching railings on ashlar
walls; pillars ornamented with ball-finials, weathered coats
of arms and inscriptions. Commemorates the Rev. John Venn MA,
Vicar of St Peter's and St Owen's, 1833-1870, d.1890; "one of
Hereford's greatest benefactors".
