Former Joint Railway Station

A Grade II Listed Building in Chard, Somerset

The Railway Station

Uploader's Comments

The Railway reached Chard in 1863. At first Chard was just connected to the railway between Salisbury and Exeter but in 1866 it was also connected to Taunton. However the railway fell under the Beeching axe and the Station, in Great Western Way, was closed to passengers in 1962. The building is now used for light industry.
