Pair of contemporary small houses. Probably mid C19. Plastered
walls, partly on stone rubble, partly on timber-framing;
plaster front lightly blocked out as ashlar; end stacks with
plastered brick chimneyshafts; hipped slate roof.
PLAN: Mirror plan, each unit one room wide with paired central
doorways.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with ground floor recessed behind
first-floor front; symmetrical 2-window front of horned
12-pane sashes. Paired central doorways share same flat stucco
rusticated surround and contain 4-panel doors with vertical
mouldings to the lower panels. Oversailing first floor
supported on timber posts. The platform is fenced with
original cast-iron railings with ornate fleur-de-lys finials.
INTERIOR: not inspected but likely to be of interest.
