GV II

House, now offices, and attached railing. 1790, altered mid
C19 and late C20. Brick with ashlar basement and painted
ashlar dressings, with slate roof and single gable stack.
Rusticated basement with lintel band, ground-floor and
first-floor sill bands, first-floor band, wooden gutter on
brackets. 3 storeys plus basement and attics; 3-window range.
Windows are mainly 4-pane sashes, those to the second floor
smaller, with multi keystone lintels. Ground floor has 2
sashes and to right a wooden doorcase with engaged Doric
columns, dentillated pediment and fielded 6-panel door with
fanlight. Basement has two C20 twelve-pane sashes. Outside,
cast-iron railing to area and steps, with spindle balusters.
