Office building. Built 1902 to designs of Llewellyn Kitchen of Gelder & Kitchen.
Brick with ashlar dressings and plain
tile roof with two ridge, single side wall and single gable
stacks, all coped. Plinth, quoins, first-floor band, moulded
eaves. Two storeys; 8x3 windows. Composite windows with
segment-headed lower light and 2-light mullioned upper part
with leaded glazing. Off-centre entrance bay has panelled
ashlar flanking pilasters and dentillated pediment. Single
first floor window and below, a doorway with steps, keystone
and festoons, half-glazed double doors and glazing bar
fanlight. On each floor, five windows to left and two to right.
Left return, to Alfred Gelder Street, has a similar pedimented
entrance bay flanked on each floor by two windows to left and
single windows to right. Right return has two windows and below,
three windows.
