5/179 Betty's Lodge


Lodge to St. Ives Mansion House (q.v.). Early-mid C19. Hamner-
dressed stone, stone slate roof. Single storey. Symmetrical
facade. T-shaped with semi-octagonal projection to front with
2-centred arched window with Y-tracery in each of 3 faces, side
has pointed-arched doorway. Rear block has similar door to
either side of projection and 2 arched windows in side walls.
Hipped roof, tripartite to front and oversailing supported on
wooden posts. Ashlar stack to centre.

A good example of a lodge retaining its original fenestration.
