Pair of houses. Probably mid/late C18 with early/mid C19
additions. Solid rendered front. Slate roof. Rebuilt chimney
on right gable. 3 storeys; 3-window range. Paired doorways in
centre, recessed in a single wide opening with cornice-hood on
carved consoles; panelled reveals, the bottom panels flush;
4-panelled doors with 3-paned fanlights. Shoescraper to left.
Windows flat-headed with keystones. Left-hand windows all have
8-paned sashes, except that the upper third-storey sash is
only 4-paned; sashes in centre windows are 6-paned, except for
3-paned upper sash; right-hand windows have small-paned late
C20 fixed wooden sashes with transom-lights. Ground storey has
moulded plinth and flanking panelled pilasters. Upper storeys
have corresponding reeded pilasters rising from a plain
stringcourse. No entablature; just a plain board below the
eaves. INTERIOR not inspected.
