House in row. C16 timber-framed fabric faced in mid/late C18
with Flemish bond brick front to parapet, steeply-pitched tile
roof, brick stacks. Parallel 2-room plan with a central
through-passage from doorway of No.54.
2 storeys and attic, 2-windowed. 4-pane sashes to face boxes
under brick voussoirs with fluted stone key with cornice.
Above first-floor windows are recessed brick panels in coped
parapet. Far left, to former throughway, C19 four-panel door
under 3-pane transom-light. Stack in C17 brickwork, left,
shared with No.53 (qv), with which this may originally have
formed a pair. Further stack to ridge, right. INTERIOR not
inspected.
