03/02/71 Richmond House


House. Late C18. Render with limestone dressings, gable stacks
with brick copings, and a pantile roof. Double-depth plan.
Late Georgian style. 3 storeys and basement; 5-window range. A
symmetrical front has a moulded coping; the doorway is
recessed with a timber architrave and half-glazed 6-panel
door. 2:1:2 windows have recessed exposed C20 frames and
6/6-pane sashes; returns have a single sash with exposed
frames. 1-window left-hand single-storey block has a slate
hipped roof. Raking dormer to the rear. INTERIOR not
inspected, but noted as having a central stair hall with an
open-well stair with square newels, and panelled shutters.
