House, formerly inn. C17 with C18 and C19 alterations. Stucco
to brick; probable timber-frame; rubble to rear; Welsh slate
roof; brick rear lateral stacks. 3-storeys and cellar;
2-window range: 2-light metal casements. Central part-glazed
door with wooden doorcase flanked by small bay windows with
arched-head lights. Front raised mid-C19 but retains original
roof pitch to rear. Rear has wings of 2 and 3 storeys, in part
with plain tile roof. 3-storey wing is part pebble dashed,
part coursed rubble; end stack. Tall rear lateral stack to
right. INTERIOR reputed to retain part of timber-frame and
winder stair.
