GV II

House, now inn. C20 to C18 and earlier core. Brick and stucco;
slate roof with brick end stack. 2-storeys and cellar;
3-window range: 3/6 sashes in quoined stucco cases, with hood
mouldings; central projecting bay has C20 double doors with
wooden portcullis, in stone surround under painted arch with
hood moulding over; flanked by 1/1: 2/4: 1/1 sashes in similar
cases; stucco quoins. INTERIOR has much imitation
timber-frame, but rear bar has large residual posts and
ceiling beams.
