Longford Castle Bridge

Bridge over River Avon. 1914 by Gambier Parry. Limestone ashlar.
Three segmental arches with cutwaters and octagonal refuges above.
Parapet with turned balusters in panels, and weathered coping.
Stone tablet over central arch on each side dated 1914. One loop
to each refuge below road level. Built to replace an earlier
bridge downstream, when the line of the drive was moved about 200
metres north.

The asset was previously listed twice also under the parish of Alderbury at List entry 1181260. This entry was removed from the List on 21st October 2015.
