WOOTTON TA 01 NE 3/54 Gates, gate piers and adjoining walls approximately 45 metres east of Wootton Hall GV II

Gates, gate piers and walls adjoining. 1796 for John Uppleby. Cast-iron gates, brick walls and piers with ashlar coping. Forms north entrance to stableyard; walls adjoin stable range to west and house to east (qv). Walls approximately one metre long ramped down to square piers. Pair of gates with lower interlaced panels, ramped top rails, plain vertical bars and dog bars with fleur-de-lys finials. Gate to left is damaged and missing its outer section. Included for group value.
