Dovecote. C17 with later alteration and restoration. Red brick
with some buff headers; pyramidal tile roof with lantern.
Eaves have chamfered brick infill between rafter ends. Front
has blind wall. Left return has buff headers; right return has
brick platt band and much C20 repair, entrance with concrete
lintel over C20 plank door, upper entrance has pigeon holes in
panel over C20 plank door; rear has later lean-to outshut with
blocked wide entrance, blocked opening to upper floor.
Restored square lantern with hipped roof and leaded glazing
has good weathervane with 'JH' (ie Joseph Hunt, 1645-1720) and
the date: 1684 pierced in pennant. An interesting survival.
