House in row with shop. Late C18. Flemish bond brickwork, tile
roof, brick stack.
3 storeys, attic and basement; 2-windowed. Central 2-light
flat roofed dormer to mansard roof, plain sashes to exposed
boxes, V-joint splayed voussoirs and stone cills. At ground
floor, under full-width wood fascia with cornice, a square
display window in C19 pilaster surround, with, to right, a
wide 6-panel door under blocked transom light. Basement
grille. Stack left, moulded stone parapet, blocking course and
coped parapet, rendered right gable end. This property
deserves to have glazing bars re-instated, to give back its
full dignity to the street.
INTERIOR: part of ground floor only inspected. Contains
open-well late C19 staircase in rear room.
