Shops and dwellings, now shops. Mid and late C19 refronting of
C18 and C15 building. Brick; stucco; steep pitched Welsh slate
roof; C18 brick stack to right front. L-shaped range, with
main interest to rear.
EXTERIOR: South front: twin gable roof of Welsh slate with
some composite tiles. 2 storeys and attic; 2-window range(?):
C19 casement to left; C20 plain sash to right; two C20 lights
to gables. Possible jetty to attic; deep jetty to 1st floor
with moulded bressumer, chamfered soffit beams and arched
braces, on moulded springers and battened posts. C19 workshop
windows to ground floor; 4-centred arch between moulded posts,
to front range.
INTERIOR: No.54: moulded ceiling frame; C19 corner fireplace;
moulded capital and ceiling beam to shop. No.55: C19 winder
staircase with stick balusters. 2nd floor: C19 fireplaces;
4-panel doors; overlight. 1st floor: 4-panel doors; overlight.
Cellar: some masonry. Rear wing has fine (concealed) C15 roof
with carved wind braces.
