20m north of the Hills


Stables. Late C18, dated"EC 1776"on projecting kneeler to left-hand rear,
with later additions and alterations. Red brick (English garden wall
bond), plain tiled roof with raised brick verges on projecting stone
kneelers. 2 levels; brick floor band; 3 openings to front, one hatch
to left and 2 mid-Cl9 windows to right on upper level; stable door to
left on ground floor; steep-pitched lean-to (housing staircase) and
inserted lean-to 2-bay cart shelter to right. Flanking single-storeyed
mid-C19 projections to left and right. Interior: has mid-C19 stables.
Fire insurance plate to left-hand gable end.
