GV II

Row of 6 small town houses. Mid to later C19, altered. Red
brick in Flemish bond, with sandstone dressings and slate
roof. Double-depth plan, each house single-fronted, with
coupled back extensions. Two storeys over cellars, each house
with 2 windows at 1st floor; with stone plinth, 1st-floor
sill-band, plain frieze and moulded gutter cornice. Each pair
of houses has coupled doorways, with linked pilastered
architraves; and each house has one window at ground floor and
2 above, all with raised sills and wedge lintels, those at Nos
20 and 21 sashed without glazing bars but all the others with
altered glazing. Ridge chimneys. Rear and INTERIORS not
inspected.
