Formerly known as: Middle Staunton STAUNTON LANE.
2 cottages. Probably late C17. Painted render over cob or
rubblestone, continuous thatched roof, hipped and swept up
over The Haven to the right. Two 2-unit plans. 2 storeys;
4-window range. One- and two-light C19 casement windows, those
to the first floor in half dormers. 2 adjacent C20 doors in
C17 oak door-frames with moulded jambs and cambered heads,
that to the left has run-out chamfers. Single-storey lean-to
to each end, that to the left thatched, with C20 door; thatch
and pantile to the right, with two C20 windows.
INTERIORS not inspected but reported as having exposed purlins
in the upper rooms and plastered lofts. Beams to the ground
floor are ceiled in.
