GV II

Public house. Early C19, with later C19 extension. Granite
ashlar with plinth to part on left rubble with granite
dressings and granite plinth on right; dry slate roof.
Double-depth plan plus deep rear wings 2 storeys; overall
6-window range. Small window openings except for oriel
approximately central to each part, all with C20 horned
sashes, 3 round-arched doorways: the doorway right of centre
of ashlar front with original spoked fanlight and 4-panel
door; doorway towards right of other front with blind fanlight
and 4-panel door; the other doorway to single-storey wing at
far left. Ground floor of part of ashlar front at some time
altered substituting a small window for probable inserted
doorway. INTERIOR: original moulded ceiling joists.
