Hotel, formerly coaching inn. Early C19. Stuccoed brick; tiled
roof. 3 storeys; large symmetrical 7-window range with central
carriage entry under elliptical arch to coaching yard. 2 end
and 2 ridge stacks. Deeply overhanging eaves with shaped
brackets. Giant end pilasters with moulded capitals and
incised Greek-key panels. All windows in raised moulded and
lugged architraves. Continuous sill bands, that to upper floor
with guilloche enrichment. All original sashes replaced by
synthetic frames with no glazing bars, but openings remain
unaltered.
