Fountain. 1871. Presented by Rev. Chancellor Law. Ashlar and
iron. Round basin with rusticated surround with 4 projections
for couched lions. Central bowl in pier with octagonal base
and naturalistic herons, fish and reed mace etc; egg-and-dart
moulding to capital. Basin of foliate form supports figure
with 2 fish tails and wreath round head, blowing conical
shell. A good example of craftsmanship in iron.
