Parallel ranges of chambers flanking a close. 1802-03 by Henry Holland. Stucco
and brick with slate roof. The 3 storey stucco ranges, either side of a covered
way on cast iron slender columns, terminate at north end to Burlington Gardens -
Vigo Street with taller 3 storey brown brick blocks. Revealed glazing bar sash
windows under slightly cambered gauged arches. Parapets with plain copings. The
north elevation of brick blocks have shallow bows through ground and first
floors. No 8 Burlington Gardens has an Adam style radial glazed fanlight doorway
to right; tripartite recessed glazing bar sashes under flat brick gauged arches,
recessed glazing bar sashes to upper floors; parapets with copings. Nos 10 to 12
Burlington Gardens are 2 storey stucco faced pavilions with single bay fronts and
small shops on ground floor, flanking the entrance to the Albany covered way.
Recessed glazing bar sash window to centre of first floor on each pavilion;
parapet with coping; hipped slate roof.
