3/44 Stable Block circa 5 metres west
of Chittlehamholt Manor House

Stable block. Mid C19. Unrendered stone rubble. Asbestos slate roof with gable
ends. Small brick ridge stack.
Rectangular on plan, with stable to each side of tackroom containing staircase to
left side, 2 large cart sheds to right side.
2 storeys, the upper storey forming continuous loft. Loft door above plank door
with overlight flanked by window and plank door to left side. 2 large cartsheds to
right side have double plank doors. Circular windows at each gable end with
radiating glazing bars.
Interior: Stable fittings largely intact including plank partitions with decorative
wrought iron grilles. .
