Detached house. Mid C18; refronted c1820; C19 and C20
alterations. Stucco; random rubble limestone and marlstone; some
brick at rear; brick chimneys; replacement concrete tile roof.
Two-storey with attic; two 2-storey rear wings to form U-plan;
attached garage with attic at south east end. Front: 3-window
fenestration, 20-pane sashes with incised voussoirs over. Central
doorway with flat timber porch hood; 6-panel glazed door. Plain
pilaster strips at ends of facade. Plain parapet coping. Garage
to left has front gable, plank garage doors with timber lintel and
C20 upper floor casement with timber lintel, all in rendered
elevation. North west side: marlstone gable end of front range to
left with single-window fenestration; C20 casements to ground and
upper floors and small attic casement with Gothick leading. Rear
wing runs to right with C20 altered fenestration. Rear: 2 wings
either side of recessed centre. Many additions in C19, possibly
when house was divided into 2 occupations. Interior has simple
early C19 staircase with stick balusters.
