Manor House Farmhouse

Farmhouse, probably mid-C18. Brick with stone dressings, slate roof,
chimneys corbelled at the gables. Double pile plan of 2 rooms x 2 rooms.
Symmetrical, 2 storeys plus garret; brick bands to both floors, central
single-storey gabled porch, two 20-pane sashed windows with stone sills
and splayed stone heads on each floor, and a blocked window with brick
head in centre of 1st floor. Gable walls have garret windows, that on
left side blocked, and there is a blocked ground floor window in the right
side wall, with a primitively decorated brick band above it. Rear wall
has similar feature over ground floor window, and a very tall stair light--
window with glazing bars, rising to the eaves. Site said to have traces
of moat remaining on south side.
