Houses, now with shop. Early C19. Brick; hipped Welsh slate
roof; 2 brick ridge stacks.
3-storeys and cellar; 5-window range: 6/6 round-headed sashes
under gauged brick flat arches; similar 4/4 sashes over; brick
corbels to eaves. Central half-glazed, 3-panel door in moulded
frame with overlight with multicoloured lead lights, recessed
in panelled case, with flat hood and stone pediment over, on
consoles on moulded pilasters; stone steps and wrought-iron
rails; to left, C20 bay window with plate glass, on earlier
base, and brick segmental arch over recessed brick panel
containing 18-pane light; to far left is gate: returned side
has 6/6 sash with 4/4 sash over, and blocked opening at ground
floor, and 6-fielded panel door and swagged overlight to
No.85, with 6/6 and 3/3 sashes over.
Rear elevation of No.85 has 3-storey wing giving double-depth
plan; 8/8 sash under segmental arch with, to right, later
casement under timber lintel; 4/4 sash over, under segmental
arch; stack to left, raised with probably C20 brickwork; 8/8
sash, with entrance to left, under segmental arches.
Left return has single 6/6 sash to 1st and 2nd floors. Nos.87
and 89 have various casements, with single-storey wings, that
to No.87 with Welsh slate, that to No.89 with plain tiles.
Good wrought-iron sign-hanger.
