8/130 Beech Farmhouse

G.V. II

Farmhouse. c. 1815 refronting of possibly earlier building, with later
alterations and additions. Roughly coursed rubble, slate roof with raised coped
verges and brick gable stacks. Symmetrical front. 2 storeys and 3 windows, all
sashes with horns, and segmental heads, central panelled and glass door with
segmental head, first floor windows under eaves. Right return has 2 C20 windows
at ground floor, straight joint between front and rear blocks, gabled porch to
rear; left return has similar windows. Rear has 2 lean-tos, varied windows,
remains of parapet wall to right above eaves of main house. Interior: not
inspected.
