of Prideaux Place

GV II

Foot bridge. Circa early C19. Stone rubble. Foot bridge over public road linking a
raised terrace known as the Colonel's walk. The bridge has a 4-centred arched
opening of dressed stone and stone rubble parapets which rise and are pointed above
the apex of the arch.
The bridge forms part of a group with the mock fortifications to the east of Prideaux
Place (qv east entrance) which were erected prior to 1758 and extended in the circa
early C19.
