- approximately 10 metres to south
east of Wheatlands Farmhouse
GV II
Shippon, cartshed and granary. Mid to late C19. Uncoursed stone rubble, with
weatherboarded timber frame over cartshed. Gable-ended slate roof.
Plan: Range at right angles to Wheatlands Farmhouse (q.v.), facing south-west.
Ground falls to right. Shippon to left and 3-bay cartshed to right with granary
above, approached by external steps at right-hand gable end. One storey and loft.
Exterior: Shippon to left with 4 windows, outer 2 with stone flat-arched heads and
third one with wooden lintel; doorway between first and second windows from left with
flat stone-arched head. Granary to right with small-paned window and open-fronted
cartshed below. Right-hand gable end has boarded loft door with stone flat-arched
head and approached by flight of 10 brick and stone external steps.
Interior only partly inspected. Roof over right-hand end with tie-beam trusses.
