In the North chapel, a large memorial to Charles, son of Andrew Noel d 1619 aged 28. His epitaph –If giftes of minde and body might/ Make death forbeare to clame his right/ This compleate knighte had not by fate/ Enjoyed on earth so short a date/ But death not partiall in his power/ Untimely cropt this blooming flower/ Whose hopefull youth starre (still?) in his prime/ Did promise much for future time- Arms, Or fretty gules a canton ermine (Noel), a crescent sable for cadency.
