Twin lancet with Victorian glass, north aisle. Early hand-made local glass might well have looked like this: the result of melting sand together with lime and a little potash. Iron minerals in the local sand would give a heavy green tint to the product. This window would have been influenced by the rediscovery and use of traditional techniques by such as William Morris of the Arts and Crafts Movement. (Photo Sept 2007).
