Foxlowe House, gate piers and
boundary walls

GV II

House. Mid-C18 with C19 remodelling. Coursed squared rubble limestone with
gritstone dressings, projecting quoins, coped gables, end ashlar ridge stacks
with moulded caps, concrete tiles, Welsh slates and stone slates. 'L' plan.
Two storeys, three bays, symmetrical elevation with glazing bar sashes in plain
stone surrounds. Moulded doorcase with shallow bracketed hood. Panelled
double doors with rectangular overlight. Rear elevation retains C18 flush
mullioned window with leaded lights. Boundary wall to street elevation of
coursed rubble with saddleback copings, and incorporating stone gate piers,
square in plan, with moulded square caps.
