Row of three cottages, formerly one house. Late C17 with major remodelling in C19.
Coursed squared limestone rubble with gritstone dressings, quoins to north end,
moulded eaves band, intermediate and south end ridge stacks of brick and stone,
and a stone slated roof Three storeys, three bays, with north bay retaining
C17 3-light chamfer mullioned window openings, formerly with a continuous dripmould
to first floor window heads, now cut away to finish flush with masonry. Dripmould
to head of ground floor 3-light opening and above lintel of doorway at north end,
which also has a heavy quoined surround and a modern C20 door. Remaining two bays
to south refashioned to form two single bay cottages, each formerly with glazing
bar sashes in plain stone surrounds, now with single glazing bar sash to central
cottage window and C20 joinery to cottage at south end. Doorways to cottages with
plain heads and six panelled doors.
