7/149 Camesworth Farmhouse

II

Detached Farmhouse. Early C19. Coursed rubble-stone walls. Thatch
roof with stone gable-coping at left hand, and at right hand front
gable. One brick stack at left hand gable, and at right hand front
gable. L-plan. Ground floor with 3-light stone mullions (ovolos)
and separate labels over. Fixed glass lights. First floor windows
have wooden frames and iron casements. Front door, in the angle,
plank and studded, with long strap hinges, C20. Important rear
elevation: 4 3-light wooden mullions (ovolos), framed and pegged,
C17. Mainly fixed glass lights. Wooden lintels over. 2 wooden
cills to upper floor. Interior: cross-wing has collar-beam roof
construction with decorative joint trenched into side of principal.
Big-chamfered ceiling-beam with filleted stops.
