Two attached cottages. c 1700, with refenestration and roofing. Rubble-
stone walls, part washed. Thatch roof, no 1 with corrugated iron on top.
Brick stacks at left and right gables and backing on to former dairy end.
1½ (no 1) and 2 storeys. 6 windows, 3 to each cottage. No 1: 2 and 3 light
wooden casements, some renewed. No 2: one 3-light casement with lead lights.
Remainder are C20 wooden and metal casements of 2 and 3 lights. Front doors:
both plank with C20 porches, No 2 with a thatch canopy. Interior: No 1 with
open fireplace (wooden chamfered lintel over). Ceiling-beam chamfered with
joists stopped off straight. "RCHM, Dorset I", p 239 (18).
